DESCRIPTION:

• The goal of the project was to make shields with lock sensor for preventing workers to get into the work-zone while the machine was active.
• Additional requirements: the doors had to have multiple stop positions for servicing the machine, all of the existing machine parts had to stay in in the same position.
• First of we had to take all the important measurements from the machine and all the parts that we had to work around. We had to choose the correct guide rails which would perform good in a dusty environment and would perform smoothly through a long period of time.
• The project was done by first creating prototypes and then creating the final version which fitted the machine perfectly. All of the parts we’re created using 2D laser and tube laser technology.
